Mélanie Bastarache

Chief Executive Officer

As CEO of DECIMAL, Mélanie Bastarache brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology, including over a decade with DECIMAL. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in shaping the company’s digital transformation and cloud strategy.

Mélanie holds bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science. She began her career in 2001 as an Oracle Database Administrator, developing deep technical expertise while working with many of Quebec’s leading organizations. She joined DECIMAL in 2013 and has since held several leadership positions, including Director of Security and Technical Services and Vice President of Security and Cloud Services.

With a deep understanding of technology, business and evolving market dynamics, Mélanie combines strategic vision with a strong customer-focused leadership approach. As CEO, she oversees DECIMAL’s operations and strategic direction, with a focus on driving sustainable growth and building a company where technological excellence, trusted customer relationships and employee well-being go hand in hand.

René Lebel

Vice President, Operations

With more than 30 years of experience in the enterprise performance management software industry and consulting services, René Lebel joined DECIMAL in 2014 as Vice President, Professional Services. In this role, he led all of the organization’s Professional Services teams.

As Vice President, Operations, René is responsible for the company’s entire operational function, including Professional and Technical Services, Customer Support, and Research & Development.

René has extensive expertise in the technological, functional, and organizational challenges involved in collecting, modeling, storing, analyzing, and presenting business information. With a thorough understanding of enterprise technology solutions, market trends, and the strategic value of corporate data, he has successfully delivered numerous solutions, particularly within the public sector, financial services, and a wide range of other industries.

René is widely recognized for his leadership, expertise, commitment to client service, focus on delivering successful outcomes, and dedication to building long-term relationships.

Hubert Lavigne-Chouinard, CPA

Vice President, Professional Services

A member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (CPA Québec) and a graduate of Université Laval in Québec City, Hubert Lavigne-Chouinard joined DECIMAL in 2008 as a Consultant. Since then, he has developed extensive expertise in financial performance management, cost accounting, financial process improvement, and information technology, earning recognition as one of Québec’s leading experts in corporate performance management.

Hubert has gained broad experience across a variety of industries, including information technology, government, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and entertainment. He has advised both small and large organizations on cost management, budgeting processes, and project management.

After being promoted to Senior Director and subsequently to Vice President, Professional Services, Hubert now leads major implementation projects for DECIMAL’s solutions and oversees the Professional Services team. He also serves as a strategic advisor to DECIMAL’s clients, helping them maximize the value of their performance management initiatives.

Benoit Lépine

Strategic Advisor

After leading DECIMAL for several years as Chief Executive Officer, Benoit Lépine now serves as Strategic Advisor, leveraging his extensive experience to support the company’s continued growth and evolution.

With nearly 30 years of experience in sales and operations management, Benoit first joined DECIMAL approximately ten years ago as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, before taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer. Throughout his career, he has held several leadership positions spanning business development, strategic advisory services, professional services, customer support, and operations.

In his new role, Benoit supports DECIMAL’s leadership team, as needed, on a variety of strategic matters, drawing on his in-depth knowledge of the industry and his experience in developing approaches that create value for all stakeholders.

Benoit has held a Master of Business Administration (MBA) since 2002 and is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
