Budgeting for Assets Management (BAM)

As part of its range of budgeting solutions, DECIMAL now has a new module for fixed asset management.

Many organizations that use ERP software to manage their real assets are also using Excel to calculate their real depreciation costs and budget their capital costs. To solve this problem, DECIMAL has developed a solution that calculates the full range of costs associated with an organization’s asset capitalization. Once calculated, the costs are automatically transferred to the budget.

This new module allows you to categorize acquired and projected assets, then calculate depreciation costs based on the calculation rules that suit you best. Both annual and monthly results are generated, and the Decimal Suite enables you to easily incorporate your depreciation costs into your budget.

Take advantage of our new templates, enabling you to add specific information for different asset categories and fully customize your own fields!

This new module once again proves DECIMAL’s enduring commitment to providing products with the substance and added value to simplify your life.

Now, there’s no more excuse for inefficiency!

Decimal Suite features efficiently manage your budget:

  • Consolidates data in a centralized database providing simultaneous access to several users;

  • Enables all managers and authorized users to enter budget data directly while keeping track of changes made;

  • Defines each user’s specific profile, security profile and access to information;

  • Creates scenarios based on calculation rules at different levels (account, type of account or specific parameter);

  • Establishes budget expenses based on volumetrics;

  • Organizes data according to needs (chart of account, administrative units, etc.);

  • Produces dynamic reports and provides features that enable users to easily calculate variances, make multidimensional tables and drill-down as far as detailed calculations of account forecasts;

  • Reports can be viewed on-screen, printed or exported to other systems, including spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft® Office Excel;

  • Contains fields for entering and/or attaching justificatory and/or explanatory notes and files;

  • Tracks organizational changes;

  • Where required, accepts more details than are normal in a budget item.
