Professional development continues to tour the regions

Again this year, the Order is offering a professional development program for CMAs in every region of Quebec, in order to meet the needs of those who practice their profession outside the major urban centres.

The program kicked off in November, with a half-day session on performance measurement. According to comments from the participants, a number of whom would have liked the session to last longer so that they could delve deeper into the subject, it is clear that the subject was very relevant and reflected the concerns of CMAs. Moreover, the moderator, Christian Babbini, CMA, Vice President, Research and Development at Decimal, was unanimously praised for the quality of his presentation, which was designed to prepare the participants to play a proactive role in their organization as concerns the implementation of performance measurements and justify the use of such management practices.

Between mid February and mid March, it will be the turn of his colleague, Alphonse M. Galluccio, FCMA, Vice President and Partner, Governance, to hit the road, in order to deliver the second half-day of training, this time on risk management. The purpose of this session is to understand the principles underlying risk management and the tools necessary to apply an integrated framework in this area.
