Assessing performance maturity and understanding the means to improving performance
In its 2011 May/June issue, the bi-monthly CMA magazine published an article on the Performance Management Maturity Framework.  Jointly publishet by CAM-I (the Consortium for Advanced Management - International) and CMA Canada, CAM-I undertook this research project to developp a standardized and integrated view of performance management for any organization.

Christian Babbini, Vice President, Management Accounting Solutions at DECIMAL, has been awarded as Businessman of the year during the third "Soirée Excellence CMA", Montreal Chapter of the CMA Order. Expert in strategic and financial management and recognized in his field, Christian has founded DECIMAL 20 years ago.

The Régie des rentes du Québec once again recognizes DECIMAL’s expertise. The agency is currently conducting a pilot project to analyze and conceptualize its dashboard reports. These are used to give managers a better grasp of financial results and, more importantly, to generate performance indicators enabling them to anticipate financial results.  This project also allows the ability to launch actions in order to improve the situation.

The Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ)—a public organization under the jurisdiction of Quebec’s Minister for Transport—has chosen to continue its association with DECIMAL. Since September 2004, the SAAQ has been using the Decimal Suite’s budget management and forecasting tools, which are capable of integrating seamlessly with the organization’s existing financial and operational tools. The budgeting tool also enables DECIMAL clients to assess production costs and set rates for their services. The Decimal Suite solution is an important tool for Quebec’s and Canada’s public sector.
